How To

Personalise your video with Video Effects™

Logitech's webcams include Video Effects, a fun application which enables you to personalise your on-screen appearance using Avatars, Face Accessories and Fun Filters*.

Avatars are fully-animated 3D renderings that replicate the facial movement of the webcam user. Face Accessories are 2D images, such as wigs, glasses, or bushy eyebrows, that will appear on top of your video and move with your image during a video instant messaging session.

*Avatars and Face Accessories are supported on all premium webcams. Fun Filters are currently not available for download. These Video Effects are included in the software which accompanies your product purchase.

Video Effects makes it easy and fun. Here's how:

Access your Video Effects

Launch your QuickCam ribbon by either opening the QuickCam application or clicking on the desktop shortcut. Click on the mask icon in the ribbon to access your Video Effects.

Select the type of Video Effects you want to use

From the pulldown menu select the type of Video Effect you want to use. Once you have selected the effect you wish to use, click on the green play button to enable the effect.

Calibrate your camera

In order to work properly, Video Effects have to calibrate to your face. Once you choose to enable Video Effect, follow the on-screen instructions for optimized performance. You can also use a keystroke shortcut to recalibrate: Press the "CTRL" key and the letter "C" at the same time to calibrate on the fly.
