30th Anniversary Commemoration

On Oct. 2, 1981, Daniel Borel, Pierluigi Zappacosta and Giacomo Marini founded Logitech S.A., and opened the company´s first office in the small village of Apples, Switzerland. The first business deal was to develop a graphical editor for Ricoh. Because of the founders´ software background, they chose the name Logitech, which comes from the French word for software: “logiciel.” Thirty years later, Logitech has more than 9,000 employees around the world. The company has sold more than a billion mice, and its product lines include a wide range of PC peripherals, tablet accessories, earphones and speakers for listening digital music, and video conferencing solutions.

How did Logitech get here? To commemorate its 30-year anniversary, the company presents slices of its history in the following documents, which identify the most important products, defining moments, and trends that have made the company what it is today.
