Electronic Industry Code of Conduct

The Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC) is a global code of best practices adopted and implemented by some of the world’s major electronics brands and their suppliers. The goal is to improve conditions in the electronics supply chain.

EICC members develop tools to facilitate the successful implementation of the Code. Members are committed to achieving the Code’s high standards in their operations and within their supply chain.

Logitech is a full supporter and active member of EICC. Logitech’s suppliers are required by contract to comply with all applicable laws and regulations where they conduct their business. In addition, we ask suppliers to embrace high standards of ethical behavior and treat their employees fairly and with dignity and respect, consistent with local laws. Specifically, we require our suppliers to adhere to the standards outlined by the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC). You can review the EICC online.

In cases where laws and regulations do not provide adequate controls and protection, Logitech uses the EICC Code of Conduct to apply standards to protect human health and the environment.

Responsible Manufacturing

Logitech recognizes that manufacturing activities have a significant influence over a company’s impact on society and the environment. Therefore Logitech has taken steps to implement improvements in manufacturing practices, including the implementation of externally certified manufacturing management systems and the restriction of chemical compounds or materials that can be a risk to environment, health and safety.

Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems

Logitech uses formal management systems to manage its Environmental and Health and Safety (EHS) programs such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, as well as the ISO 9001 Quality Systems certification.

Under these EHS Management Systems, Logitech has established comprehensive procedures and practices designed to maintain a safe and healthy workplace as well as protect the environment from our operations activities.

Logitech’s primary manufacturing sites are certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety management systems standards.

Materials Selection, Substitution and Elimination

Logitech is committed to the substitution and elimination of materials that pose an environmental, health or safety risk. Logitech complies with all legislation regarding material restrictions or bans in all countries where our products are sold. In addition, we may also work to replace legally permitted materials based on customer requirements or where scientific data has been established to demonstrate a potential health or environmental risk and where safer commercially viable alternatives are available.

Business Ethics

Logitech is committed to conducting business in a fair, honest and sound manner to help ensure that the long-term interests of its shareholders, employees, partners and suppliers are being served.

It is Logitech’s policy to comply with both the letter and the spirit of all laws to which it is subject, wherever Logitech does business. Logitech also expects its employees to conduct all business on behalf of Logitech in a manner consistent with the highest ethical standards.

As part of this commitment, Logitech has implemented a Business Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy which sets out the standards and procedures for the fair and honest business practices and behavior that Logitech expects from its employees.

This policy applies to all Logitech employees, contractors, officers, and members of the Board of Directors.

Business Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy >>

Logitech has empowered a third-party independent ethics company to operate a Logitech employee ethics hotline to provide employees with a way to confidentially report actual or possible misconduct or breaches of the Business Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy.
