Young and Divine

"instantly catchy...a debut filled with hook after hook" – Absolutepunk

Young and Divine have spent the past two years touring the country, winning thousands of fans and wracking up millions MySpace plays. The Albany trio was formed in 2007 as the brainchild of guitarist / singer Johnny “JP” Clark and drummer Joe Bortscheller. Within months of their inception, the group teamed up with the Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Cartel) to record their genre defying eponymous debut. Young & Divine immediately hit the road in 2008 playing over 150 shows with The Plain White T’s, Forever The Sickest Kids, Eve 6, The Secret Handshake and Artist Vs Poet. Their relentless self-starter attitude and infectious hooks garnered them thousands of daily MySpace plays and the attention of radio testing firm Promosquad. Promosquad thought that Young & Divine were onto something, but never expected the song “Shake That Bubble” to react better than songs from today’s biggest chart toppers. It only takes one listen to realize that “Shake That Bubble” is the pop-rock hit of the summer.
