Logitech Wins Four iF Product Design Awards
HANNOVER, Germany CeBIT March 14, 2007 Logitech (SWX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI) announced that four of the company´s products were honored with prestigious 2007 iF (International Forum Design) awards for excellence in consumer product design: The Logitech® Wireless DJ Music System, Logitech® Harmony® 1000 advanced universal remote, Logitech® Z-10 Interactive Speaker System and the Logitech® AudioStation high-performance speaker system for iPod®.
We are delighted iF recognized us with this great honor for these four products, said Guerrino De Luca, president and chief executive officer of Logitech. Logitech is passionate about designing products that help people control and enjoy the new digital, home-entertainment experience. These awards inspire us to continue creating products that strike the perfect balance between form and function.
The iF jury is composed of the world´s leading designers. 2007 marks the third consecutive year that Logitech has won an iF design award.
The Logitech Wireless DJ Music System
The Logitech Wireless DJ Music System enables people to easily stream digital music from their PC to any stereo or multimedia speaker system — and control it all from the palm of their hand. A simple three-piece system, the Wireless DJ combines plug-and-play simplicity with digital audio clarity. No existing wireless network is required. The Wireless DJ Music System can play many PC audio formats including MP3, iTunes® (AAC), WMA, as well as Internet radio and podcasts. And the stylish Wireless DJ remote — with its blue backlighted, liquid-crystal display (LCD) and mechanical scroll wheel — makes it easy to navigate an entire music collection.
The Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote
The Logitech Harmony 1000 remote is the premier product in Logitech´s award-winning family of Harmony advanced universal remotes, the most popular brand of advanced universal remotes in the U.S. and an emerging force in Europe. The Harmony 1000 remote enables people to easily control their home entertainment devices including VCRs, digital video recorders, high-definition televisions and even some household appliances. The brilliant 3.5 inch color touch screen gives people one-touch control of their entire digital living room.
The Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System
The Logitech Z-10 Interactive 2.0 Speaker System features a groundbreaking design that is changing how people think about PC speakers. With touch-sensitive controls and a backlighted display that shows digital-music track information, a clock, volume and more — the Z-10 speakers are meant to be heard and touched. Using USB technology and software, the Z-10 speakers can display track information from popular media players, including iTunes, Windows Media® Player, Winamp and Musicmatch®. In addition, the speakers provide four Internet radio preset buttons, which allows people to quickly save and recall their favorite stations and playlists.
The Logitech AudioStation iPod Speakers
The Logitech AudioStation iPod speaker system is a compact, one-piece stereo system with a built-in digital AM/FM tuner that can transform any room into a digital-music concert hall. The speakers offer a dynamic range of clear, powerful audio — from floor-thumping bass to precision high frequencies. There are no buttons or knobs on the AudioStation speakers — the controls on the front panel are all touch-sensitive — giving the speakers a seamless, smooth appearance. When powered on, small LEDs illuminate the touch-sensitive controls and with the touch of a finger, people can turn the power on and off, adjust the volume, select radio stations, or switch the input from their iPod to another audio source.
