Logitech Connection Utility
This program can be used to reconnect your mouse if the connection is lost between your mouse and the receiver.
Note: This program is already included with SetPoint. If SetPoint is already installed on your computer, there is no need to download this program. Instead you can access the connect utility as follows: Start > All Programs > Logitech > Mouse and Keyboard > Connect Utility
To reconnect your cordless mouse to its receiver:
- Launch the Connect Utility.
- Turn on your mouse. If the mouse does not turn on, check the battery power level.
- Press and hold the left mouse button.
- While still holding the left button, flip over your mouse to access the power switch:
- If your mouse has a power or reset button, briefly press it once while continuing to hold the left mouse button.
- If your mouse has a slide switch for power, slide the switch off and then back on while continuing to hold the left mouse button.
- While still holding the left button, flip over your mouse
- While still holding the left button, click the right mouse button 5 times, then release the left mouse button.
- Click OK.
If your mouse fails to connect:
- Verify the battery power level
- Try using a different USB port for the receiver, always plug the receiver directly into your computer do not use a USB hub or KVM switch.
- Try moving the mouse closer to the receiver.
- Note: Using your mouse on a metallic surface might cause interference. Make sure there are no RF (Radio Frequency) interference sources nearby. Devices such as wireless speakers, cellular telephones, computer power supplies and garage door openers can interfere with the operation of your mouse.
The Logitech Connection Utility is supported by the following Operating Systems:
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP
