What to know before you contact Customer Support:
- Product Name
- Model Number (M/N) – This is normally a nine or ten digit number
- Part Number (P/N) - This is typically in the format M-RBU126 , V-UMB46, Y-UV90, R-IG7, etc.
- PID number (PID) or Serial Number (S/N) this can be up to 11 characters long
The exact location of this information varies by product but can typically be found:- On the bottom or rear of the product
- Underneath the battery cover or underneath the batteries
- Behind the foam ear cushion
- Attached to the USB cable
- The Operating System the device is running on (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, etc.)
