Keyboard Spill Resistance Specifications

  Answer

This article applies to the following products:
Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser

Select Logitech keyboards feature a spill-resistant design intended to reduce the risk of keyboard malfunction in the event of minor accidents. Specially designed channels direct liquid out of the keyboard through holes in the bottom, preventing up to 60 ml (2 US Fluid oz.) volume of liquid from coming in contact with the keyboard electronics. Keyboards specified as spill resistant are not designed to function properly for volumes exceeding this amount, nor immersion in liquid.

*WARNING: Tested under limited conditions (Max. 60ml liquid spillage). Do not immerse keyboard in liquid.

In addition to the above, you can take the following steps to protect your keyboard in case of an accidental spill:

  1. Immediately disconnect the USB or PS/2 connector from your PC.
  2. Leave the keyboard flat on your desk. Do not shake, tip, turn or otherwise move your keyboard.
  3. Allow the keyboard to dry for at least 24 hours before re-connecting to your PC.

NOTE: Not all Logitech keyboards meet this specification. When applicable, a spill-resistant design will be noted on the keyboard product detail page available on Logitech.com.
