  Detailed Description

This article covers how to view Video Email attachments.

  Answer

This article refers to the following products:
All QuickCam video cameras

Video Email attachments need to be opened and played in the Windows Media Player application.

NOTE:  You will need a Windows-compatible sound system and speaker for Video Email clips to play properly. For best results, make sure your display is set to at least 16 bit color mode (thousands of colors) or higher.

If you are having difficulties playing attachments, follow the instructions below:

  1. Double-click on the attached file.
  2. The Open With window should appear. Select the Windows Media Player and check the Always use this program to open these files button.
  3. Open the attached file in the Windows Media Player program.

If you do not find the Windows Media Player in the Open With window, this means you do not have the media player installed on your computer. To install it, you can download it from the web at Microsoft Windows® Media Player. Installing the player may require a reboot of your system. Once you have installed it, follow the steps delineated above.
