{"id":27489,"date":"2020-01-13T09:38:32","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T17:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stage.blog.logitech.com\/?p=27489"},"modified":"2024-07-02T17:43:00","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T00:43:00","slug":"logitech-named-most-sustainable-company-in-consumer-technology-by-world-finance-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.logitech.com\/blog\/2020\/01\/13\/logitech-named-most-sustainable-company-in-consumer-technology-by-world-finance-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Logitech Named \u2018Most Sustainable Company in Consumer Technology\u2019  by World Finance Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re proud to announce that Logitech has been honored for its sustainability efforts by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldfinance.com\/sustainability-awards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">World Finance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> magazine in its first-ever Sustainability Awards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winners of the World Finance Sustainability Awards 2019 have shown a commitment to ESG policies in all aspects of their operations and have put green initiatives at the heart of their long-term visions.\u201d &#8211; World Finance\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.logitech.com\/en-us\/sustainability.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sustainability<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has long been a focus for our company, and just <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/news.logitech.com\/press-release\/corporate\/logitech-commits-ambitious-15%C2%B0c-climate-pledge-and-100-renewable-electricity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">last month<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> we put a stronger stake in the ground and committed to do even more to address our part in climate change. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the first time, Logitech publicly <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">committed to ambitious sustainability goals for the entire company. We unveiled our support for the Paris Agreement, pledging to limit our carbon footprint to support the aggressive 1.5\u2103 goal and vowed to be powered exclusively by renewable electricity by 2030.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also achieved CarbonNeutral certification of all Logitech gaming products, further extending our CarbonNeutral certification efforts for business travel and our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.logitech.com\/content\/dam\/logitech\/logitech-sustainability\/en\/pdf\/resources\/sustainability-report-2019-screen-single-page.pdf#page=57\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">manufacturing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> plant in Suzhou, China.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While we are pleased to receive this recognition in this magazine\u2019s inaugural sustainability awards, we realize that our work to design for a more sustainable future is just getting started.
