In a recent reflection, our partners at iFixit shared a staggering milestone: Logitech repair content was accessed more than 5 million times this past year alone.

That is not passive interest. It is millions of repair moments where customers are asking a fundamentally different question when a device slows down: Can I fix this?

More Than Just Parts and Guides

When we first began this journey, we focused on a handful of premium MX devices in the United States. We were testing the waters with basic components like feet, screws, and batteries.

But repairability is not a single product feature. It is an ecosystem.

We realized that to truly increase circularity, we could not simply send manuals into the void. We needed to fully equip our customers so that repairing instead of replacing could become the easier, more obvious choice.

For one customer, that question might mean replacing worn mouse feet instead of retiring a trusted device. For another, it might mean giving a favorite keyboard a second life with a new battery.

The response has been overwhelming. A 9x increase in spare parts sales versus FY24 empowered consumers to complete a broader range of repair activities, underscoring that customers are not only reading about repair, they are choosing to do it. People do not just want the right to repair. They want the ability, confidence, and support to actually do it.

Building for the Moment Someone Decides to Try

Scaling this ecosystem requires looking closely at how people interact with their devices.

We do not simply provide parts and guides; we build the systems needed to make them available on a global scale. The scale of that system is growing quickly: spare parts sales are up 900% compared with 2024, our repair hubs now cover 75+ countries, and we now provide repair guide coverage for 81 products. Across 69 product lines, we offer 133 genuine replacement parts through 7 specialized Logitech–iFixit hubs.

This is what it looks like to make repair part of the system, not an exception to it.

As we recently shared with Trellis, “The goal was to institutionalize repair so that it becomes normal, repeatable, and durable.”

Right to repair connects directly to our earliest product design decisions, because the repair experience is shaped long before a product ever ships. Through our Design for Sustainability approach, repairability and recycling are key considerations from the beginning of the design process.

When we give customers clear instructions, fair access to genuine parts, and a repair path designed to remove unnecessary friction, we signal something deeper than support. We signal respect. And that kind of respect builds trust that can outlast any single purchase cycle

The Invisible Infrastructure

Behind every simple repair experience is a system that has to work quietly in the background. If guides are the visible side of repair, supply chains are the invisible one.

Traditional supply chains are built for predictable, high-volume orders of finished goods. A repair supply chain has to be more agile, managing smaller, more variable batches of components across dozens of countries.

And we are pushing that agility further. Battery repair coverage is expanding across priority product families and models that share common components, from MX Keys and MX Master 4 to Zone headsets and our G915 Lightspeed gaming keyboards.

This matters deeply to our circularity goals. The environmental case is clear when we compare component replacement with full-device replacement. Choosing to replace components like a battery or feet instead of replacing an entire device can result in a major carbon reduction, up to 61% for our PRO X SUPERLIGHT mouse, for example, based on Logitech’s lifecycle analysis.

Extending a product’s lifespan preserves the energy, materials, and manufacturing investment already embedded in that device. As industry advocates rightly point out, there is simply no sustainability without repair.

What Comes Next: Day-1 Readiness

A few years in, one thing is clear: making repair possible is one challenge; making it the norm is another.

Historically, repair parts and guides often arrived months, sometimes years, after a product launch. We are changing that paradigm.

Looking ahead, we are currently testing Day-1 repair readiness across more than 40 products across product lines planned for launch in FY26. We are working to ensure that batteries, spare parts, and troubleshooting guides are live the moment these products hit the shelf.

This is the next evolution of repairability: not catching up after launch, but designing support into the product experience from the beginning.

This momentum belongs to everyone here. It is the result of years of quiet, relentless collaboration across sustainability, customer experience, quality operations, legal, logistics, and our engineering teams.

We encourage you to read the full reflection from our partners at iFixit, as well as the recent Trellis feature on circularity and consumer power.

Every repair is a small decision that adds up to less waste and longer product lifespans.
