Logitech Supports Local Musicians and Music Fans with Ultimate Ears Earphones

Company Sponsoring St Jerome’s Laneway Festival with Exclusive Earphones Offer

SYDNEY, Australia - November, 3 2011 – Logitech Australia has announced its sponsorship to the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, one of Australia’s most popular music events, as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support local musicians and music lovers by providing the best listening experience possible with Ultimate Ears earphones.

Logitech’s Ultimate Ears earphones were first developed because Alex Van Halen, drummer and co-founder of the hard rock band Van Halen, and his monitor engineer were tired of having things get between them and their music. Today, Ultimate Ears Custom Monitors are the number 1 choice of the world’s top touring musicians, according to PollstarPro Concert Pulse 04 2010.

Annabelle Woods, General Manager for Australia at Logitech, says: “Musicians spend endless hours perfecting sound quality to their level of satisfaction. Sound engineers make it their profession to emulate the exact level of sound quality and satisfaction. We want to give discerning listeners the chance to connect with music like never before.”

Purchasers of tickets to the 2012 St Jerome’s Laneway Festival will be able to buy Ultimate Ears 200 Noise-Isolating Earphones at a quarter of the normal retail price, for just $10.00 (RRP $39.95). This offer is valid for the first 2,500 earphone purchases.

“Logitech is making this offer available so that fans can sample the Ultimate Ears innovation that musicians all over the world benefit from. Our commitment to the music scene is not just about supporting the artists, but also ensuring that fans enjoy the best music-listening experience possible,” says Woods.

This support follows Logitech’s continuing commitment to music, recently having partnered on the Birds of Tokyo national tour, sponsored Katy Perry’s California Dreams Australian 2011 Tour and the 2nd Annual Rolling Stones Awards.

Logitech is also the major sponsor of the Logitech Rock the Schools tour; which travelled across Australia for five months, taking four bands to 90 schools to teach sound-engineering, lighting, professional staging and band management.
