Thanks to everyone who met us at Gamescom 2026! Logitech G’s presence there was not only to showcase great gear but also to listen to you. While many brands treat the world’s largest gaming convention as a marketing activation, Logitech G partnered with the University of Limerick’s Lero team to gather valuable gaming insights from the people who matter most: gamers themselves.
Throughout the event, researchers ran a series of tests with the aim of gathering data from over 1,000 players. They looked at everything from how mouse weight affects performance to feedback mechanisms and ergonomic designs that help fight off muscle fatigue during extended marathon gaming sessions.
This kind of on-the-ground research provides a way for Logitech G to directly test future technologies to make pivots and adaptations based on data and real feedback. It’s part of a process we call Design by Collaboration, and it’s central to how we think about product development. The idea is simple: Build gear with players, not just for them. For the past decade, this same thinking has guided innovation on our PRO line as we’ve worked with esports teams and athletes around the world.
“The people who push gaming the hardest are often the people who show us where it needs to go next,” said Niall White, Research Lead at Logitech G. “Players are uniquely positioned to expose the small but meaningful gaps in weight, balance, responsiveness, audio, control and comfort that are nearly impossible to identify in a lab setting alone.”
In addition to our data collection, Gamescom was also a lot of fun with people who share our passion for play. With the entire gaming community converging in one place, Logitech G was proud to collaborate with brands such as Tencent, Nintendo, Konami, Philips OneBlade, Activision’s Call of Duty, SK Gaming and more.
“Gaming is a culture, and it’s woven into fashion, entertainment and technology alike,” said Christian Remler, Gaming Category Manager in Germany. “Our collaborations showcase a shared language, rooted in play, that we celebrate together.”
NEXT STOP: LOGITECH G PLAY
The same spirit of celebration will carry forward beyond Gamescom with Logitech G’s own flagship event, Logitech G PLAY 2026, taking place on Sept. 23. Logitech G PLAY is a massive multi-city cultural festival that celebrates the passion, competition and connections that define gaming culture around the world, from engineering breakthroughs in performance tech to the individual triumphs that shape the future of play.
Much like the research Logitech G ran at Gamescom to uncover breakthroughs in play, this year’s Logitech G PLAY is all about spotlighting breakthroughs in the many different ways people experience play.
“Every player is chasing something: a win, a personal best, an audience, a great moment with friends,” said Robin Piispanen, Head of Logitech G. “Our job is to help them get there.”
