Every spring, UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion transforms from a basketball arena into a hub of innovation with LA Hacks. This year, the hackathon hosted more than 1,000 students who created hundreds of projects in just 36 hours. As a sponsor, Logitech showed up to ensure hackers had the latest and greatest tools to fuel their coding journey.
Surprise, Delight, and Scavenger Hunt
We kicked off the weekend by launching stuffed mice into the crowd during the opening ceremony, rewarding lucky hackers with the ultimate productivity duo: MX Master 4 and MX Keys S. To keep the momentum going, we took to Discord, dropping cryptic photos that led students on a scavenger hunt in Pauley Pavilion for a chance to win a pro-grade setup.

The Race for Typing Champion
At the Logitech booth, typing became a sport. Students stepped up to our typing challenge, choosing between the tactile MX Mechanical or fluid MX Keys S to secure their spot on the MX WPM Typing Challenge Leader Board. The competition was fierce, but the top contender clocked an incredible 197 WPM on the MX Mechanical.

You’ve Got Options with Logitech
We closed the weekend with the most-attended workshop at LA Hacks. More than 240 attendees, representing over 20% of the entire hackathon, received a deep dive on how the MX Master 4 and Actions Ring can help them save up to 33% of their time.
In true hackathon spirit, LA Hacks organizers coded a giveaway tool on the spot for a raffle to workshop attendees. By the time the session concluded, more than 150 students were newly equipped with an MX Master 4 or MX Keys S.

At LA Hacks 2026, we saw first-hand that when the builders of tomorrow have the right tools in their hands, there is no limit to what they can create.
