How to install and customize Logi Options+ software

Logi Options+ is a free customization app for your Logitech devices that adds productivity-enhancing shortcuts to your workflow. These shortcuts offer nearly endless personalization and work with your favorite apps.

Logi Options+ has several useful benefits, including:

• Easy shortcut mapping for keys, mouse buttons, and other device inputs.
• App-specific customization to expand your productivity like never before.

• Actions Ring functionality for quick, on-screen access to tools on MX devices.

Logi Options+ is compatible with Mac computers running macOS 12 or later (including macOS Sonoma) and Windows PCs running Windows 10 or later.

Logi Options+ is compatible with many Logitech devices, including MX Series products like MX Master 3S and MX Creative Console, Ergo solutions like Wave Keys and Lift, and more.

Logi Options+ works with many popular apps, including Microsoft Office, the Adobe Suite, Google Chrome, and more.

You can utilize app specific profiles from the device page within the app or look to download plugins and profiles from the Logi Marketplace.

Logi Options is our legacy offering. The ‘+’ in ‘Logi Options+’ stands for better design, user experience, and more features.

Logi Options+ receives regular updates, new features, and a growing list of compatible Logitech devices and apps. It is recommended over Logi Options, which no longer receives updates.

1. Open the Logi Options app.
2. Select the device(s) whose settings you want to use with Logi Options+, and click ‘More’.
3. In the left-hand column, click ‘BACKUPS’.
4. Click ‘CREATE A BACKUP NOW’. To back up all of your devices, check the ‘Automatically create backups of settings for all devices’ box.
5. Download Logi Options+ for Mac or Windows on the Logi Options+ Download Page and follow the on-screen prompts.
6. When prompted in the Logi Options+ app, log in with your Logitech account details.
7. Once logged in, you’ll see a message confirming you have successfully migrated your device settings from Logi Options to Logi Options+.

2. Follow your computer’s on-screen prompts to complete installation.

To take full advantage of Logi Options+, you might need to grant admin-level permissions on your Mac or Windows PC.

For Mac users, you can find step-by-step instructions on this Logitech Support page.

For Windows users, check your firewall/antivirus settings and ensure you have admin-level permissions.

1. Connect a compatible mouse to your computer.
2. Open the Logi Options+ app.
3. Select the device you want to customize with Logi Options+
4. Select the device input (for example, ‘Scroll Wheel’).
5. Now you can personalize your keyboard, including backlighting, mapping shortcuts to mouse buttons, and more.

1. Connect a compatible keyboard to your computer.
2. Open the Logi Options+ app.
3. Select the device you want to customize with Logi Options+
4. Select the device input (for example, a Function key).
5. Personalize the input as you see fit, such as adjusting backlighting, mapping shortcuts to keys, and more.

1. Open Logi Options+ on your Mac or PC.
2. Click ’SMART ACTIONS’ in the top-right corner.
3. Select a ready-made Smart Actions option that you might find useful.
4. To set the Smart Action trigger, under the ‘IF…’ section, select ‘Device’.
5. Choose a device you want to map with this Smart Action.
6. Select which device input (for example, the ‘Back’ button) you want to trigger the Smart Action.
7. Select ‘CONFIRM’ to complete the setup of this Smart Action.

1. Open Logi Options+ on your Mac or PC.
2. Click ’SMART ACTIONS’ in the top-right corner.
3. On the ‘Smart Actions’ page, click ‘CREATE’ in the top-right corner.
4. Begin by creating a Smart Action trigger in the ‘If…’ section
5. In the ‘Then…’ section, select which app and action you want to trigger.
6. Press ‘SAVE’ in the bottom-right corner, add a name and/or description, and press ‘SAVE’.

1. To export Smart Actions, navigate to the Smart Actions page in the Logi Options+ app, click the three dots in the top-right corner of a Smart Action, and select ‘Export’.
2. To import Smart Actions, click “IMPORT” in the top-right corner of the Smart Actions page.
