What is Logitech Flow?

Logitech Flow is a feature on Logi Options+ that allows you to seamlessly connect up to three computers computers to one another. When Logitech Flow is enabled, you can easily move your cursor, images, links, or files between two devices. You can even use Flow by Logitech to move seamlessly between Windows and Mac computers.

How does Logitech Flow work?

If you’ve ever connected an external screen to your laptop, then worked on both your laptop and the screen with a single mouse, you’ll be familiar with how Logitech Flow works. The key difference is that with Logitech Flow, you’re able to move between two separate computers, no physical connection needed.

First, you’ll set up your desired arrangement for your computers, whether that’s a side-by-side orientation or next to one another. Then, it’s time to get to work. Simply move the cursor of your Flow-supported mouse to the edge of the screen to move across computers and operating systems.

Cross computer control

Control multiple computers with one Flow-enabled mouse. Automatically switch between computers by moving your cursor to the edge of the screen. Your mouse and keyboard flows with you, even between Windows and macOS operating systems.


Seamless file sharing

There’s no need for a USB or other external file-sharing device when you use Logitech Flow. Flow makes transferring text, images, and files between your computers and operating systems effortless—just copy on one and paste to the other. It’s the simplest way to transfer information—eliminating the need to rely on cloud services or sending yourself emails with attachments.


Connecting different operating systems

Once Logitech Flow is set up, you can easily move between two completely different operating systems, such as a Windows and a macOS device.

In order to use Logitech Flow, you’ll need to meet the following requirements: 

  • System requirements. Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 13 or higher
  • Compatibility requirements. Logi Options+ must be installed

How to connect devices to Logitech Flow

Setting up Flow is super easy. Follow these three simple steps.


1. Install the latest version of Logi Options+ on both computers

First, you’ll need to download Logi Options+ on both computers. This app allows you to customize supported devices, including mice, keyboards, lights, webcams, and more. With Options+, you can boost your efficiency and personalize your experience.


2. Pair your mouse to your computers. Use different channels for each computer

Next, you’ll need to pair your mouse to both computers at once. Your Logitech Flow-enabled mouse has multiple channels through which it can pair to devices. Pair each device to a different channel via USB receiver or Bluetooth®.


3. Connect your computers to the same WiFi or Ethernet network

Lastly, ensure that both computers are connected to the same network, whether via WiFi or a wired Ethernet connection.

How to use Logitech Flow

Allow one computer to find the other computer that’s paired to the same mouse. Then, wait for the two to connect with each other. Look for the status icon to see the status of Logitech Flow. Once Logitech Flow is active, you can customize your settings in the Flow tab in Logi Options+. Change the arrangement of your screens, enable copying and pasting between them, and link your keyboard to your mouse so it functions on whichever computer your mouse is connected to.

To move from one computer to the other, simply move your mouse to the edge of the screen. Or, you can hold the Ctrl key while doing so.

You can also temporarily disable and enable Logitech Flow on your devices or permanently remove a computer from Logitech Flow. However, keep in mind that you’ll need to go through the setup process again if you do so.

Troubleshooting common Logitech Flow issues

The Flow screen won’t load in Logi Options+

If your Flow screen is stuck on the loading spinner, try turning off your mouse and turning it back on. This should resolve the problem.


Logitech Flow is unable to find or establish a connection to other computers

If you’re getting a message that Logitech Flow can’t connect to your other computer, use these troubleshooting steps:

  • Confirm your mouse shows up on Logi Options+ on both devices
  • Check if Logitech Flow is enabled on all devices
  • Make sure your computers are both connected to the same network and that your network is functioning correctly
  • See if a firewall or antivirus app is blocking the Logi Options+ communications channel


I keep accidentally switching to the other computer when I want to work at the edge of this computer
To gain greater control over screen switching with Logitech Flow, enable the 'Hold Ctrl and move to the edge' option in Logi Options+. That way, you’ll only switch screens when you’re holding the Ctrl button and on the edge of your screen.


I transferred a file from one computer to another, but I’m unable to open it on the second computer

It’s possible that your file isn’t compatible with the other computer. Make sure that you have the correct application to open the file on your second device.
