As a child, Jill imagined herself chasing justice as a policewoman. Later, she excelled in math and science, but chose to study finance. It was only when she realized technology was shaping the future — while women were being left behind — that her true mission came into focus.
I actually wanted to be a policewoman when I was little, probably from watching too many TV shows. I was drawn to the idea of justice, protecting people, and making things right.
I didn’t have the words back then, but in many ways, that desire to help others, bring order to chaos, and serve a mission bigger than myself has stayed with me.
Today, I don’t carry a badge, but I do carry a mission: to create systems where women can thrive, be seen, and lead. So yes, this is it, just with fewer car chases and more community building.
My path into tech wasn’t direct. I studied finance, but I quickly realized that wasn’t my true talent. What I loved was building communities, connecting people, and helping others be seen.
Born and raised in Shanghai, where infrastructure, education, and tech move fast, the concept of “women in tech challenges” was almost foreign to Jill. It wasn’t until she entered the field that she experienced the invisible barriers firsthand — confidence gaps, lack of support systems, short-term thinking. That’s when the mission started, and the journey took a turn from passion to responsibility.
She Rewires is to help women not just enter tech, but thrive, lead, and reshape it. The name reflects our purpose: to rewire mindsets and decode stereotypes.
We don’t just create spaces — we design systems. We incubate super individuals who move confidently between tech, business, and impact. And when we collaborate with companies, we co-create stories that show why inclusion drives real innovation and sustainable growth.
I’m motivated by the women we serve, especially the ones who never thought they could be leaders. I’m also driven by my mission to bring Chinese women in tech to the global map. I want to make sure our stories, creativity, and innovation are not just seen but celebrated.
Companies like Logitech, that live by their values and contribute to a more equal STEM industry, are big contributors to solving the puzzle. We look forward to doing more initiatives like the latest report we co-launched, which assesses the China STEM ecosystem and unveils key actions and moments to achieve equality in STEM.
Today, Jill is most excited by how fast technology is evolving and how many unconventional voices are starting to shape it. She has an optimistic mindset, inspired by China’s strong infrastructure, rapid tech development, and a new generation of women who are ready to lead.
Girls often grow up doubting themselves, not because they’re not capable, but because that’s what society teaches us: to be careful, to be quiet, to be perfect.
